New Zealand Olympic middle- and long-distance runner suspended for eight years for anti-doping rule violations

The Sports Tribunal suspended New Zealand athlete Zane Robertson for eight years following anti-doping rule violations involving the presence of a prohibited substance and use or attempted use of a prohibited substance (Erythropoietin (EPO), non-specified) following an Adverse Analytical Finding in-competition in May 2022) and tampering or attempted tampering with any aspect of the doping control process. Mr. Robertson did not contest the breaches or the applicable sanctions and is suspended from competitive sport until 20 September 2030.
